KEY PROMOTERS
ALLIED Certified Public Accountant of Uganda is comprised of two partners and their supporting staff and accountants.
Dr Kiyita M. Kyambadde
Dr Kiyita holds a Ph. D (Finance) from Al- Madinah International – Malaysia, MSC. Masters of Science in Accounting & Finance, PGDCS: Postgraduate Diploma In Computer Science, B.COM: Bachelor of Commerce –Accounting with Makerere University, Diploma in Project Management-Applied with Galilee International Management Institute – Israel December 2015.
Professional Qualifications include ACMA (Associate of Chartered Management Accountants)-UK, FCCA (Fellow of Chartered Certified Accountants)-UK, CPA: (Certified Public Accountants) Uganda, IAA: affiliate (Institute of Internal Auditors) UK. CDIF (CIMA – Diploma in Islamic Finance)UK ,CGMA (Chartered Global Management Accountants) – UK & USA, CIFP (Chartered Islamic Finance Professional-Malaysia.
Dr. Kiyita has over 30years’ experience and over half of this has been accumulated in doing audit-related businesses. He has headed audit teams in government ministries and departments such as Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, Ministry of Information Broadcasting, Uganda Revenue Authority, Ministry of Finance and Planning, President’s Office, Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Industry, Judiciary, National Council of Science and Technology, Uganda Tourism Promotions Board and Uganda Export Promotions Board. He has also provided audit services to several projects such as PAMSU (World Bank Project) – National Bureau of Standards, as well as corporations such as National Enterprises Cooperation (NEC), Road Agency Formation Unit (RAFU) of Ministry of Works, and Islamic Development Bank.
Dr. Kiyita is a Principal Partner in ALLIED his responsibilities range from management to quality assurance.
Ndawula NW Martin
He is a University graduate in B. Com Accounting with Makerere University.
Professional Qualifications include FCCA (Fellow of Chartered Certified Accountants) – UK and CPA (Certified Public Accountants).
He has over (15) years’ experience in accountancy and audit mainly in the private sector, having worked in capacity as the Audit Manager at ALLIED. He is responsible for the preparation of strategic work plans and drawing up programmes for the assignments.
CORPORATE STRUCTURE
Executive Committee / Principal Proprietors
The top-most governing body for ALLIED is the Executive committee. This committee is composed of the proprietor and a co-opted qualified accountant. The Committee is free to co-opt up to two individuals outside the firm to act as advisors.
The executive committee is charged with the responsibility of setting policies and goals for the firm and overseeing the implementation of these policies and goals by the two General Managers. The executive committee also undertakes review and assessment of the quality of the firm’s outputs/deliverables.
Management Committee
The management committee is charged with supervising the day-to-day operations of the firm. It ensures that the goals and objectives of the firm, as set by the executive committee are being implemented. The management committee is composed of the two General Managers. These undertake the day-to-day operations of the firm, with assistance of the administrators.
Administration
Among the staff, there are a few who have been allocated administrative roles. This staff assist the management in day-to-day operations and they are indeed considered to be part of the management committee. These are the Financial Controller, the Secretary/Administrator and Quality Control Officer.
The Financial Controller is responsible for the firm’s finances and providing management with financial information needed for decision-making and control.
The Quality Controller is charged with preliminary review of the reports generated by the audits to ensure that they comply with the professional principals and the format, guidelines and framework for a standard report of the firm. He is also charged with proper keeping of the firm’s property and valuables such as the stamps and logo.
The Administrative Assistant/Secretary undertakes the secretarial activities and general administration of the firm. She receives incoming calls and undertakes general administrative tasks such as supervising the support staff (cleaner and office messengers) in the course of their work.
